There’s a well known saying that the 10,000 hours is the magic number to get to in hours of practice to truly be a master at your craft. Well, a recent study by Macnamara and Maitra found that to be not so true. While it does play a role in your skill, it’s not as much as was claimed in the original study.
Besides, do I really need to be an “expert” in something to enjoy it? Hurry and learn the god-damn piano already.
