Gay Hendricks gives a great example. Imagine you are working from home and your child comes in and asks: “Daddy, can we play together?” You would probably reply: “Sorry, honey. I just don’t have time right now.” But what if instead your child come in and said: “Daddy, I’ve cut my foot and there’s blood everywhere!” Time would no longer be a factor for you as you leap off the chair to care for your child. Why is it that time stops you in one scenario but not the other? It’s because time is not what stops you, it the choice you make about your priorities.
