Or should I say commiserations? I am unsure if you are lucky or unlucky to have stumbled upon my domain. Either or, this year I am participating in a challenge where participants try to write a blog post every day for the entire month of May.
The topic I am focusing my posts on is hand-thrown gliders.
N.A.F.A.Q. (not actually frequently asked questions)
Q: Why hand-thrown gliders? A: I want to get into RC planes and gliders. However, I am not at a stage where I can splash out for the initial electronics. So rather than sit idly by I am using the time to learn about designing planes from scratch.
Q: What is a hand-thrown glider? A: Imagine a paper airplane made from materials besides paper. That is what I am calling a hand-thrown glider.
Q: Why are you posting here rather than your weblog.lol account? A: I use Obsidian daily and religiously. It’s where I take all my notes and write pretty much everything. This website is actually built automagically from my notes. It’s just less friction for me if I do it from here.
Q: What do you wish to achieve from this challenge? A: I want to grow my understanding of the physics and challenges required in making model planes. I hope to make a glider that is more advanced and uses a material besides hot glue and paddle pop sticks for construction.
